Civil and commercial cases
Civil and commercial disputes: contracts, debts, real estate
Most civil disputes are won or lost before they reach court — when the contract is signed, the money handed over or the receipt written. So we not only handle cases in court but also support transactions so that there is no dispute. Commercial disputes between companies are handled by advocate Anna Yanush.
In commercial disputes a flexible fee model is possible: a smaller amount when the agreement is signed plus a percentage of the amount awarded. More on the How we work page.
What we do
- Contract disputes — non-performance, penalties, termination, return of an advance.
- Debt recovery — a claim letter, a lawsuit, summary proceedings, securing the claim.
- Real estate and land — recognition of ownership, sale and purchase disputes, checking a property before a deal.
- Consumer protection — defective goods and services, refunds.
- Enforcement proceedings — supporting enforcement of a judgment, challenging the enforcement officer's actions.
- Commercial disputes — disputes between companies in the commercial courts.

Frequently asked questions
Can a debt be recovered on the strength of a receipt?
Yes, if the receipt shows who handed what sum to whom, and on what terms. The general limitation period is three years from the day the debt was due. The sooner a claim is filed, the more likely the debtor still has assets to recover from.
Should a lawyer check a contract before I sign it?
For major deals — yes: advances, real estate, construction, leases. A check before signing costs far less than a court case afterwards.
I have a judgment, but the money is not being paid. What now?
Open enforcement proceedings and keep the enforcement officer in check: tracing assets, freezing accounts, restrictions on the debtor. The officer's inaction can be challenged.
A contract not performed, or money not returned?
Send the contract and the correspondence — we will tell you what to demand and where to start.
